Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six pieces of information are what you need: gender, birth date, your health level in plain words, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want to compare, and the term length. Those answers go to the carriers to return their rates. Your name, address, and detailed health history are only asked for if you decide to continue and apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
What you see are the quotes carriers return for the health tier you pick. After you apply, the carrier runs underwriting and sets your actual premium, which may confirm, improve or change your health class. Nothing shown here is an offer of coverage or a guarantee of any price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You move into a secure application that is filled in with your answers from the quote, then continues on the carriers' own application platform. You can save and come back later, and the process ends with your electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), is handling your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
The answer depends on which carrier you choose, the amount of coverage, and what you told us. Many carriers can make immediate decisions for eligible applicants without an exam; every quote on this site shows whether that carrier needs an exam, might need one, or does not need one for the product you are looking at.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that covers the period you need: the years your mortgage runs, the years your children will need help, the years your business depends on your income. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in a lower rate for all those years. This tool lets you see 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options from each carrier at once, so you can compare.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool never asks for your email or phone, we do not sell information about you or trade it with anyone else, and our visitor counting is done without cookies or tracking. Read the privacy page for a full breakdown of what information is collected and what happens to it.
